I Want a Medal...
Aug. 13th, 2006 09:11 pm...or a least a pat on the back. When my middle daughter went to college in Phoenix last fall, she gave me permission to move the contents of our 10x10 storage locker into her room. Which I did (we had moved the previous fall from a 7-room apt. with basement storage into a 5-room place).
3 weeks ago she informed me that she was moving back home. I just spent the last 3 days rearranging and pruning and stuffing the equivalent of 40 pounds of potatoes into a 10 pound sack. I have turned an 8x10 space into my office, sewing room, and family computer room. And I have 4 overflowing crates of books to sell online. And Erica only has one corner of her room still holding storage stuff.
And the whole time I was working, all I heard from my husband was how I'd temporarily put stuff in front of the TV and he couldn't watch it, and from the other daughter how she hated how I was rearranging things.
Can I have my medal now?
