My youngest is visiting her penpal in a little town in Ohio. The penpal trains horses and her family has lots of farm animals.
Well, Adrienne might be bringing home a new family member. She has fallen in love with one of the barn kittens and got her dad to give permission for her to bring it home if it gets a clean bill of health from the local vet. (We already have 2 cats.) It was actually hysterical to listen to how she managed her father. He is giving her all kinds of arguments why this isn't a good idea, and listing all the things he would expect her to handle, and she says, "Well, Dad, you might get off the hook. If the vet says it has worms, I can't bring it home." And Dave instantly replies, "Well, if it's worms the vet can give it a pill for them."
My husband has a very soft center inside his crusty exterior.
