The tall man was scared.

What Jack could feel from the man felt like how the awful voices in Jack’s head had made him feel.

The man was talking to him, in the same careful way the woman had talked to him.

Whoa, easy, easy, easy, it’s ok, you’re ok, I’m not gonna hurt you…

You already hurt me.

Yes, I did, I’m sorry. I was just trying to slow you down…you were, um…Are you all right?

He was all right now, no more voices…

Jack didn’t want the man to be scared of him. What was it the man had said?

I’m sorry. Will you tell them that I’m sorry?

He didn't want the man--or the lady, or any of them--to be scared of him.

Aw, I really like Jack and you've captured him perfectly here. He must be so bewildered and overwhelmed by everything, but he doesn't want to frighten or hurt people, which is a good sign! I really hope Sam's influence - and that of both Kelly and Cas - will be enough to keep him from going 'darkside'.

I'm a little surprised by the fact that I am caring about Jack--my initial reaction to the idea of dealing with Lucifer's kid all season was less than excited, but he's a fascinating mix of innocence and power.
