My Next Adventure

So I decided rather spur of the moment to buy a ticket to Germany so I can be there for Emma's 2nd birthday! I will be in Heidelberg from March 11 to March 18.

I'm pretty excited, going to Europe--travelling anywhere--is a big deal for me. And I get to change planes in Istanbul!

Any LJers going to be in the neighborhood?

I take it the transfer in Istanbul was to take advantage of inexpensive tickets? Because I can't fathom an itinerary distance-wise that makes sense otherwise.

Precisely--saved $300 with that routing.

Alas that I won't be visiting Constantinople. And yes, everyone in my family made that reference instantly.

Well, I'm in Europe, yet still about 500 km from Heidelberg, so unless you're coming nearer towards the Netherlands, I doubt I can make it that far ;)
I'm assuming you're planning on spending all your precious time with your family, but if you are doing any additional traveling, let me know!
