So a couple months ago cassiopeia7 and I realized we both live in Chicago. Deciding we had to meet in person, we arranged to meet at a Starbucks at 10 am this morning.

I knew this was going to turn out well when we both showed up wearing the same SPN t-shirt  :)

We only talked for four hours non-stop...

So Supernatural has given me the gift of another real-life friend! How incredibly awesome is that?!?!

Had a similar experience a few years back! I presumed the (original) webmaster over at supernatural.tv was from the US and it turned out she was British and lived half an hour from me! The first time we met I think we passed a similar amount of time talking non-stop SPN before she persuaded me to go to the first Asylum con with her! The rest, as they say, is history!

That's very cool! I'd like to experience that one day, too. But since I focus on the world-wide fan base and pretty much ignore everything SPN related in my country, I guess it's not gonna happen. But, see, people here watch it with the absolutely awful Czech dubbing, and that is just something I can't deal with... I'm glad you had fun. :)

True, you never know. Meeting up w/fellow fans is so much fun. When I was at a get-together with some last month the time just flew by.

It is wonderful isn't it? I'm always amazed by the way we fans seem to hit it off when we get a chance to meet in person. I'm very happy for you and cassiopeia7!

I now have 4 online UK-based friends I am meeting face to face regularly and can room with when we go to conventions.

Me and my roomie-to-be from Jus in Bello decided we should meet before we went to Rome, so we went to Cambridge for the day - we met up at the train station then walked into town and talked non stop the entire day. Cambridge is a beautiful city, the sight-seeing is wonderful but quite honestly, we could have been anywhere for all that we saw of it!

Now the rest of us are going to try and have regular sessions in London to watch episodes and just generally chat about how hawt the guys are. What could be better?

I've also met in person a number of my online SPN friends and we now meet regularly, having some very special times together. The phrase 'life-changing' is often overused but through Supernatural I've not only met some very special friends, but I've also rediscovered my old love of creative writing which I had long since shelved; it really has changed my life!

Oh wow! You have no idea how much that means to me! XD Thank you! I'm actually missing drawing SPN art so much right now. I've been mainly working on commissions for ages now [dogs/children/horses] and although I enjoy it, I do miss drawing fandom related stuff.
