Do you have other local fans you get together with to watch eps, etc? No, just read my LJ friends comments
If you could be in an ep of SPN, what would you be? (hunter, angel, monster, etc.): Someone who takes care of the boys for a couple days so they can heal
Are you glad SPN is coming back for S6 or do you think it should've ended with S5?: After the finale we got they damn tootin' need Season 6! But I hope the show ends on top of its game, not dragged out past its prime, as much as I'd love to see Jensen and Jared every week.
When/how you started watching SPN: My daughter got me hooked and I watched the first 4 seasons in three weeks this past August.
What else would you like me to know about you? I have three adult daughters, one in college and living at home, the other two live in Nashville across the street from each other.
Other fandoms you're in: None. Supernatural is my first and only.

Same as you on the last question, lol, one fandom is all I can cope with -.-
BTW, where does your default icon come from?

Date: 2010-05-28 03:24 pm (UTC)The night Death visited Chicago was the night Supernatural was preempted by a baseball game so it seemed rather fitting that we got picked on. Did you happen to see the missing scene I wrote for that episode? (On my home page Master Post--"What you Don't Know.")
My icon has an interesting history. 20+ years ago I was a participant in a live-action role-playing theatrical show--every Friday was a new adventure, with people picked from the audience to go on the quest. I had a couple different characters I went as, one of whom was Molly, a thief. As a present my husband had a painting made from a photograph of me in costume.
Flash forward to my 50th birthday, and my sister had a doll commissioned from the photo by an artist who re-does Barbies. So I can honestly state that my icon is me as a Barbie. Twenty years ago, but hey, still counts...
Thanks for stopping by to visit!

Date: 2010-05-28 05:22 pm (UTC)I did have one of your stories open in a tab but ended up with so many tabs open I closed a lot of them - I will go back to it now though :)
What a great story about your icon, so was this show done in front of a different audience each week, therefore a paying audience as with any theatre show? Or were you all a group of people who were friends, hoping to be picked for the weekly adventure and making the story up as it went along?
And you are a real Barbie-doll girl, what a great present :D :D
It's nice to be here, I find I talk to people less and less now, and people post less as well. I'm really good friends with 2 lovely ladies and we speak most days in filtered posts, hence cutting ourselves off from others :( Do you speak to many people here or do you find lj less open and friendly now? When I first came on here over 2 years ago it was hard to keep up with posts and chats but now........ and that's sad :( I don't know what I'd do without my 2 best buddies!

Date: 2010-05-28 05:33 pm (UTC)The show was called Dungeonmaster and had a plot outline performed by professional actors who would then improvise the show around what the 6 chosen audience members did. I was an audience member. The most fun was magic spells--they had to be two-line rhyming couplets made up on the spot to do what was needed. If they weren't worded carefully the cast would gleefully make the spells backfire. And we had an armory of foam rubber weapons with which to do slow-motion fighting of monsters. I went once a week for almost 2 years until it closed. Never missed. Eventually the director came up with a way to reward the 'regulars' with a night as a cast member, so I did that too.
I saw from one of your older posts that your daughter was in the "Alice in Wonderland" movie? How did that come about?

Date: 2010-05-28 06:13 pm (UTC)Of my 2 best buddies one is English and she visited us last weekend and the other is from the States, which is a nuisance sometimes because of the 8-hour time difference! I used to be close to a couple of others, but we seem to rarely chat now :(
Your theatre show sounds great, mind you you must have a lot of confidence to be able to improvise each week :))
Yes my daughter was a 'extra' in the garden party scene at the beginning and end of the film. When we saw the film I couldn't see her but she saw herself (lol knowing where to look!!). That particular scene was filmed in a 'big house' here, so Anthony House about 15 miles from us. They advertised the auditions in the local papers and radio and she went along to it (got sacked from her job for doing so!!!!). About 4,000 people auditioned and they chose 250 who had a 'Victorian look'. She was very lucky to get picked actually as they had a height cut-off point of 5ft 8 for women and she's 5ft 10 (as I am). She loves drama though, has been in a lot of local theatre plays, sang on stage, been in some quite big productions and loves dressing up. She doesn't do as much now as she doesn't have the time (she's a teacher now), but still belongs to a drama group and goes twice a week and more when they get near to doing their play.
