Has Anyone Else Done This?

borgmama1of5I just spent the evening reading my Live Journal posts backwards from 2012 to the first entry in July 2004. I was doing this because, in a rare moment of thinking about backing up my computer stuff, I realized that if LJ ever crashed I would lose whatever I'd posted. I do have backups for all the SPN stories I've written since 2010, but I wanted to copy a couple entries about Erica's wedding, and then I started seeing what else I had, and as most things I do, I had to do it compulsively...
It was fascinating, though, to live the last 7 1/2 years backwards! Especially when I hit entries before I started watching Supernatural, and the entries revolved around crazy stuff at work or that my kids did...Reading my posts about the various jobs I've had in those years brought back memories of how I was improvising and figuring out what I wanted to do 'when I grew up'--and now I can say with amazement, I ended up where I was supposed to, and all the stops along the way were necessary to get me here...
And the little anecdotes about the kids, and moving, and everyday observations...
It was unexpected fun to meet myself from back then, and it was a neat way to spend the evening!
