Getting one season in one weekend isn't hard...but then I realized if I wanted to do that for the entire show it would take 14 weekends which is nearly 4 months!

Oh, I had watched it as it aired, but this is to prepare myself for the new (last--sad face) season--I always do a rewatch of the previous season right before the next one. I catch things that were foreshadowed that I didn't realize were there, and I find it very different to watch knowing where certain storylines are going the second time around.

Well that sounds awesome. Binge watching really does allow you to keep a better handle on the story arcs, especially with the way they screen things these days: Four eps, three weeks off for whatever, three eps another couple of weeks off for some other thing, rinse and repeat!

I thought the Nick story line had potential, which they completely botched and it ended up being a disappointing waste of time. I was never quite sure what the deal was supposed to be with Maggie, but okay, whatever.

Looking forward to S15...still hard to believe it's the final one!!!

Dean couldn't kill Jack even though Jack was prepared to die for his mistakes was just too much for my heart!

I don't understand how they thought Maggie could be a credible leader of the AU hunters. That actress had zero presence and they gave he nothing to work with anyway. It was one of the most ridiculous things SPN have ever done, really.

All I could think is they were trying to pander to the teen girl demographic by putting in a character they could identify with...but she was so lamely written that it was an insult to teenage girls IMO.

I thought bringing back Nick was questionable at first, and then they started with his SL and I was digging it. Then they made a left turn way out of nowhere and went down a rabbit hole that I didn't care for at all. The last couple of episodes with Nick were bothersome and boring to me. I thought they were a waste of screen time.

And Maggie - totally agree. She was an innocent I think the show was trying to have the fans rally behind, but she was just too stupid and aimless for me even wanting to care about her. When they killed off all the AU hunters, including Maggie, I was actually very grateful we didn't have to deal with those people anymore.

I almost binge watched S14 this weekend. Good for you for going for it. Sounds like fun. I decided to continue on with my regular rewatch. I'm still way down in S2. I do need to do a watch of the season. I only really watched each episode once and can't remember a lot of details. So, I do need to refresh my memory of the season before starting on S15.

As far as Nick's storyline--if I wanted to watch humans hurting other humans I'd watch crime dramas. I did not want to see Nick as a human going psychopathic, even if 'the devil made me do it' was somewhat plausible. And when they had him come back as Jack's subconscious I was really annoyed!

I'm with you on the writing, and I too wasn't a fan of the Nick storyline or the whole Maggie thing, ughhhh. But 300 was delightful and I do hope you're right that it bodes well for the series finale.

Yea, Nick hurting other humans, agree with you, not interested. When he killed his next door neighbor is when they kinda lost me. Then his killings became all the more brutal and they really lost me with those. When it looked like Nick might be successful in bringing Lucifer back - I was really yelling at my TV about that, saying they better not do that or else SHOW is really going to hear it from me. Thankfully they didn't do that. I just hope the whole Lucifer SL is dead. It is so over, if you compared it to cooking a steak, the steak would be burnt. :)

Poor Maggie... She shouldn't have been allowed to run a coffee shop let alone a group of hunters! What were those writers thinking!!!

I'm envious of the binge watch. W and I are up to near the end of season 13 on Netflix and it's been pretty interesting to re-watch it. I've watched the whole show at least three times now... Never with pizza and ice cream, though! :D

I'm afraid of the coming season. I'm seriously thinking of not watching it at all until I find out how it ends. Now if I can just keep away from the spoilers!

YES. That first murder was WAY too graphic and realistic for me. I am NOT a fan of that whole story line and I'll be closing my eyes on the re-watch.

I keep reminding myself that as much as I am involved with it, Supernatural is not mine. And if the creative team that runs it give me a less than satisfactory ending--well, that's what fan ficton is for, right?

(If I say this to myself enough times, I'll believe it, right?)

PS A little envious that you have watched the whole thing 3 times...I have watched the the first 6 years from the start twice, but never past that. A total rewatch of all 15 years is my resolution for once the finale hits!

I agree about Nick and Maggie. He wanted revenge for his wife's murder, then turns around and chooses Lucifer over her (even though he knew Lucifer was responsible for her death). It made no sense, and it dragged on with all the murder and torture stuff. Maggie wasn't an interesting character, and I'm glad she's gone. I loved the 300th ep, and let's hope the finale will be great, too.

Spoilers... Sigh. I'm having to not go to Tumblr for my Sam and Dean photo fixes because they're already showing up! Nothing major, but I really want to watch it as cold as possible so I don't start thinking things before I see the episodes! Likely impossible but I'm going to try anyway. :)

I sincerely hope this last season is at least better than 13. W and I are midway through that season and some of it is just so... by the numbers and not in a good way. Still, stellar performances by most of the actors and some wonderful moments. I'm only watching this season and 14 for the second time so being surprised by various plot points and characters which is really fun!

Don't envy my re-watches too much, too. It means I've spent a LOT of time in bed because that's all I could do. I'd much rather have been off riding horses or gardening or doing more gigs!

I will definitely keep watching this show anytime I need relief from the world and heroes to love no matter how it ends. I hope for some sort of kind ending, not a Butch and Sundance one or Jensen's biking off the Grand Canyon ideas. I have one of my own that I've never finished. Maybe I'll get back to it sometime when my muse returns.

Fan fiction does help! I love how so many people can write such beautiful stuff that feels real and true even when it's wildly divergent from the show, or when they write little fill-ins, missing scenes, or expanded scenes that are right on target for the Show As It Is. Talk about envy!

Re: Maggie- absolutely. When I think of how capable so many other young female hunters have been in the show Maggie is a real step back and down. I'm sorry for the actress, you bet. To get a slot on that show and then have a part that's something like a wet blanket? That must have sucked. :/

I have been binging on fanfic for the last 3 weeks, getting in the headspace of the brothers. My favorite things to read are fill-ins or codas to the episodes or casefic that fits in between them...funny, that's also what I tend to write :)
